This course is targeted to persons who design, build or inspect new, low-rise dwellings in Canada. It provides training on how to comply with BC Building Code and National Building Code of Canada(NBC) soil gas requirements, and local building codes, to minimize the entry of radon and other soil gases plus methods on how to achieve even better performance of radon control.
The objectives of the course include;
- Preparing you to design, supervise and build homes that have lower levels of radon.
- Understanding the details outlined in the National Building Code (NBC), BC Building Code and referenced standards.
- Developing a deeper understanding of the health risk that radon represents.
- Preparing you to challenge the national C-NRPP exam for the CRNCH certification.

Colin is an engaging, dynamic trainer with a passion for radon and building science. He approaches radon mitigation with a scientific process that provides a resource to course participants which allows them to translate the radon mitigation process to many different buildings and situations.
