In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Government Relations is advising of a vigilant approach to the process of administration and enforcement of The Uniform Building and Accessibility Standards Act, Regulations, the National Building Code and the National Energy Code for Buildings. This approach is focused on the health and safety of everyone. In particular, front line support staff such as Administrators, Building Officials and others who are tasked with the responsibility of construction regulation within their jurisdiction.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we recommend local authorities adopt measures outlined in the guide, as minimum recommendations, and expand upon them as the local authority feels is necessary.
